PhD Research Award

Bruce Gilchrist has been awarded a PhD Research Studentship in the Faculty of Arts and Creative Industries, School of Arts and Design, Sunderland University, funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) & National Productivity Investement Fund (NPIF) award. The Research Studentship is in association with the Open Data Institute (ODI): Data as Culture (DaC), London & D6: Culture in Transit, Newcastle. The three year practice-based research project will investigate the poetics of artificial intelligence in art practice, focussing on human-action-recognition algorithms. Web site >>
